These were taken last weekend too. They are cute so I had to share them. Oh and we have another milestone...we can now get her hair up in full piggy tails (or monkey tails as Sydney calls them).

Sonic Has Arrived!!!
The Pacific Northwest just got it's first Sonic! After being in Louisiana for a few years we were excited that we could continue to get our cherry lime aid fix at home. This Sonic is complete with car hops on roller skates and extremely long waits. They are using the empty lot next door as a staging area so they can keep traffic off the main street. Nathan and I think it is ridiculous that people are waiting an hour or more especially when we are used to going in and out in 5 minuets or less. We went the other day to get a few drinks but ended up parking and going to the walk up area to save time. We got a few pictures to show you just how crazy it is.
Memorial Day Weekend
We had a pretty good memorial day weekend. We barbecued with both of our families, relaxed and visited with everyone. Sydney started feeling better by Monday so she got to go swimming in the little pool at my mom's house. She had a blast splashing and playing with the hose. It was one of those rare weekends in Western Washington where it was actually warm enough to swim. Daddy even took her for a ride on the lawn mower (Sydney's tractor).

What is your opinion?
This is normally the type of thing that Shana would post about but here it goes anyway...
One of my guilty pleasures is watching TLC's Jon and Kate plus Eight and last nights season premiere it was full of drama. I am sure most of you have heard about what is going on so I thought I would post and see what you thought.
Watching the show and reading all of the articles it is easy to understand where both of them are coming from. Jon is tired of the busy life and everyone knowing them, while Kate is enjoying being in the spotlight and my guess the money too. The whole situation is sad, I can't imagine raising eight children without both parents. I also cannot even begin to imagine how life is when paparazzi are following you everywhere you go. Watching the premiere last night you can see the differences in how they acted together, I don't think they looked at each other at all. I know I don't know them and never will but I hope for the kids sake something is figured out. I am glad I am not and hopefully will never be in their situation.
What is your opinion on the whole thing?

News Flash!
Well I don't know what to say except that Nate now has his own blog, Deep Thoughts from Nowhere. I guess since he has been unemployed he has played with ours a little and decided to make one for himself. I want to apologize in advance for anything he may write. Most of you know him so nothing he says should come as a surprise anymore. Read at your own risk, but knowing him it should be interesting and of course full of useless information.

Syd's Monkey Blankie
Northwest Trek Visit
On Friday morning we went on our first family outing in Washington. We visited our local wildlife sanctuary, Northwest Trek. It just happens to be 10 minuets away from my mom's house, so it was a very convenient trip. The park only has animals that are native to the Pacific Northwest. We got to see big horn sheep, bison, lots of deer and caribou, black and grizzly bears, bobcats, owls, wolverines, fishers, river otters and many more. We even got to go on a tram tour to see them roaming in the wild. This is the perfect time to go because it is spring and there were lots of baby animals too. Sydney behaved herself and seemed to really enjoy the trip. This is just the first of many more family adventures.
Congratulations Aunt Becca!
We want to congratulate Aunt Becca on her buying her first home. I know it was a big step but it will be worth it in the long run. We also want to tell her thanks for letting us temporarily move in with her. We have been bouncing around from our parents house for a while and it is nice to have one central location were we can be together as a family, dogs and all.

Welcome Baby Douglas
Baby Douglas Alejandro Pineda was born on Thursday night at Ft. Polk. Welcome to the world little guy. Life will always be fun with three sisters around. :) We hope mommy is doing well. We wish we were there to see you guys. Take care and let us know if you need anything.
